Made his only appearance for The Saints as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat to Leverstock Green in the Herts Charity Cup. City fielded a side of Reserve and Youth team players due to the First team having a Southern League fixture at Redditch United that night.
Josh played 14 times for the Reserves that season as a central defender but, at Leverstock Green, he came off the bench early in the second half to replace goalkeeper Nick Hardy who had suffered a broken finger. A minute later James Bent put City ahead but Rookie 'keeper Josh was later beaten on two occasions as City bowed out of the competition.
