A Sidcup-born right-sided player who joined St Albans City for the start of the 2005-06 season from fellow Hertfordshire and Conference South side Bishop’s Stortford. He featured in just a dozen games for the Saints before being released by Colin Lippiatt in November. As a youngster, he played for Kent Youth, featured in the Football Association’s School of Excellence at Lilleshall and played for England at three levels; Under 15, U16 and U18. Later in his career he played for the England Futsal side (5-aside). Anthony signed for Charlton Athletic in 1997 where, over the course of four seasons, he featured in 72 Reserve team matches. He also featured regularly for the Youth and Under 19 sides but left at the end of the 2000-01 season. After leaving Charlton he had a trial for Reading before signing for Colchester United. Later during the 2001-02 season he had trials for Oxford United and Leyton Orient but the following season saw him move into the non-league game with Woking. After a season at Kingfield, he joined Bishop’s Stortford and in his second season at Woodside Park was a member of the Bishop’s squad that reached the last four of the F.A. Trophy. Following his short spell at Clarence Park, he joined Isthmian League Premier Division side Margate. He left the Hartsdown Park club at the end of the season (19 games) and had spells with Tonbridge, Ashford Town and Sittingbourne before bowing out of senior football in 2007 at the age of 27.
