Very highly-rated midfielder who started his career with Rushden & Diamonds.

Moved to Stamford at the start of the 2000/01 season in search of first-team football and impressed so much that he earned a moved into the Dr Martens League Premier Division with Cambridge City in February 2001.

Was one of the successes of the 2001/02 season at Milton Road, but then moved to St Albans City in August 2002 after a spell in America with Kalamazoo Kingdom.

Following his spell at Clarence Park Jon went onto play for Aldershot Town, Exeter City, Rushden & Diamonds, Mansfield Town, Newport County, Kettering Town and York City. Finished his playing career at Stamford.
