Local Defender who started his spell at Clarence Park playing for the reserves under Brian Dear between 1981 and 1983.

Mark was called up to the 1st team by John Mitchell and made his debut in October 1983 in a 3-0 FA Cup Qualifier against Hornchurch.

Suffered a knee injury towards the end on the 1984/85 season and after making 61 appearances for The Saints joined Hertford Town under Paul Fairclough.

Spent three seasons at Hertford before injury forced him to call it a day though he still played Sunday League football with Phoenix until he was 42 years old.
