Oliver Summers
During his period with the City Oliver Summers was a teacher at the London Colney School. He was killed during the Great War on the first day of the Battle of the Somme, 1st July 1916. He was decorated with the Distinguished Conduct Medal for conspicuous gallantry in the field. He was 25 years old and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
