Lenny Piper
A former England Youth international midfielder who started his career with Wimbledon.
Failed to make the breakthrough with the Dons and moved to Gillingham, where he made around 20 League appearances.
Was released at the end of the 1997/98 season and initially joined Welling United before moving on to St.Albans City a couple of months into the new campaign.
Proved a hit at Clarence Park, scoring a number of goals, before switching to Farnborough in July 2000.
Transferred to Dagenham & Redbridge in June 2003 but failed to settle at Victoria Road and, after a loan spell with Margate, joined Dr Martens side Fisher Athletic in March 2004.

Lenny passed away on 28th January 2024 after a long illness.
