Move to:
Tafari Moore
Joined the Saints in June 2023 from the Southern League Premier South division’s Hendon FC.

Tafari is a defender that can operate both as a left-back and right-back, in a wing-back and full-back role. Tafari comes to Clarence Park with a wealth of League and EPPP academy experience. The 24-year-old started his footballing journey at Queens Park Rangers before leaving Loftus Road at the same time as England talent, Raheem Sterling. Tafari joined Arsenal in 2009 and had a nine-year tenure at the Emirates as he signed a professional deal in 2014.

During his time in London, Tafari went on to gain experience abroad by joining Dutch Eredivisie side, FC Utrecht on a season-long loan. In the Netherlands, Moore was a frequent member of the Jong FC Utrecht, in the Dutch Second Division, the Eerste Divisee where he went on to make 26 appearances with a debut appearance in the Eredivisie against FC Groningen.

At the conclusion of his loan spell, Tafari returned to the Emirates and joined back with the Arsenal Under 23s. However, in the 2018 English January transfer window, the defender made the switch to League Two with Wycombe Wanderers, where he went on to make 13 appearances before being released by the Gunners in the summer.

Tafari then moved down to Devon with EFL League One’s Plymouth Argyle, going on to make 18 appearances in all competitions but could not save them from relegation. In the subsequent season, Tafari made two EFL League Two appearances before moving to EFL League Two rivals, Colchester United on loan.

At the start of the 2021-2022 season, Tafari joined his local side Hendon FC, where he was a mainstay in the starting eleven after exciting performances at the Silver Jubilee Park.

Tafari has a wealth of impressive Youth International success. He moved through the England Youth teams, with call-ups at Under 16s, Under 17s, Under 18s, and Under 19s level with Moore being part of the England side that won the Under 17s European Championship in 2014. He was even credited for his performances in that tournament by making the team of the tournament alongside the likes of Joe Gomez, Steven Bergwijn, Ruben Neves, and Renato Sanches.
